If you are a new to our office, please bring your prescription glasses and/or contact lens boxes (if you wear correction). Also, bring a dark pair of sunglasses for leaving the office after you are dilated.
Dilation
Dilation involves the use of eye drops to open up your pupils, which allows us to look at the internal structures of the eye. We dilate all patients as this is the only way for us to do a full evaluation of the health of your eyes. Dilation drops usually affect your vision for about four hours and will make you more light sensitive as well as blur up your near vision. If you do not feel comfortable driving after you are dilated, please arrange to have a driver assist you. Please call us should you have any further questions or concerns.
Insurances we accept:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Humana
- Medicare
- VSP
- Eyetopia
